Cancer Support Therapy in San Diego
Therapy for Cancer Patients, Survivors & Caregivers in San Diego
A cancer diagnosis changes everything and you don't have to carry it alone.
Whether you're in the middle of treatment, adjusting to life after cancer, or supporting someone you love through it all, the emotional weight is real. Fear, grief, identity shifts, relationship strain. It doesn't just affect the body. At La Jolla Wellness, we offer therapy that meets you in the hardest moments and helps you find solid ground.
Our therapist Brittany Beck, LPCC, is a cancer survivor herself. She doesn't just understand this from a clinical perspective — she's lived it.
Don't face cancer alone.

What Brings People to Cancer Support Therapy
A cancer diagnosis touches every part of your life. You might be:
Feeling overwhelmed, isolated, or like no one truly understands what you're going through
Struggling with fear of recurrence, scans, or an uncertain future
Grieving the version of yourself — or your life — that existed before the diagnosis
Trying to stay strong for everyone else while quietly falling apart inside
Exhausted from caregiving, with no space for your own needs or emotions
Having trouble talking about your experience without worrying about burdening others
Wherever you are in this: newly diagnosed, in treatment, in survivorship, or in the caregiver role, therapy can help.
Our Approach to Cancer Support Therapy
We blend evidence-based techniques like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and nervous system regulation to help you understand and shift the thought patterns that feed fear, anxiety, and overwhelm. These are practical tools you can actually use, not just in session, but in the waiting room, during treatment, or in the quiet moments at 2am.
Our approach isn't about toxic positivity or pushing you to "find the silver lining." It's about creating real space for the hard stuff and helping you carry it with more ease.
In therapy, we'll help you:
Process grief, fear, and the emotional complexity of illness
Manage anxiety around treatment, the future, and the unknown
Cope with identity shifts and changes to your body and relationships
Build sustainable coping strategies that hold up under real pressure
Reconnect with yourself, and your life, beyond the diagnosis
Meet Brittany Beck, LPCC
Brittany brings something rare to this work: she's been on the other side of the diagnosis.
Brittany was diagnosed with breast cancer in her 30s, an experience that profoundly shaped her life, her family, and her path as a therapist. She understands what it means to face a diagnosis that rewrites everything, and she brings that depth of understanding into every session.
She specializes in working with cancer patients, survivors, and the caregivers who support them, holding space for the full complexity of the experience, with warmth and without judgment.
